It is a suitable holiday destination for families and all age
groups with a variety of attractions. A visit to the Zoo which
is one of the oldest in the world is a must for the children.
Antwerp is steeped
in history and culture, on the Grote Markt is one of Antwerp’s main attractions the imposing gothic
Town Hall. You can also visit the Cathedral of Our Lady; this
is Belgium’s tallest church. There are lovely ornate 16th
Century guild houses. There is a good selection of museums for
you to visit.
Antwerp is a thriving
commercial center and has one of the world’s
largest ports. It has a vibrant nightlife where you can stay
up late with many clubs, bars, discos and cafes to suit most
tastes.
There are also a wide range of restaurants and terrace cafes;
you will be spoilt for choice here.
Along the cobbled streets you will find more restaurants, bars
and art galleries, there are designer boutiques exclusive chocolate
shops; it is definitely worth browsing around and enjoying the
atmosphere.
Antwerp was the home of Pieter Paul Rubens he created most of
his master pieces at his studio and home in the city center,
museums and churches display some of his works.
You can take a boat trip and enjoy the sights and views around
this area, alternatively have a tour around the old center by
horse drawn carriage.
Whatever you choose to do you will find a friendly atmosphere
